2022年秋天, academic 和 administrative unit leaders began using the results of the 校园文化调查 和 other resources to initiate next steps for developing action plans to address challenges impeding our ability to create 和 sustain a more inclusive campus environment.

一般来说, goals of these action plans are to promote greater diversity, 公平与包容 和 to further support the academic, research 和 career success of students, 教职员工. They focus on eliminating barriers disproportionately affecting minoritized people 和 impacting their achievement, safety 和 sense of community.

  • 员工的多样性, 公平与包容 consultants from the office of the senior vice chancellor for DEI are working with unit leaders to set goals 和 propose outcomes appropriate for specific units, locate resources needed to support the work, 和 determine the success of the goals 和 outcomes.
  • 工作人员 consultants are providing coaching 和 support, helping to illuminate needed work to advance unit goals, 和 connecting units to other units to synthesize efforts. These efforts will build the accountability 和 transparency needed to demonstrate progress.
  • Units are prioritizing one or two goals 和 have the independence 和 flexibility to put their goals into action in ways that align with their priorities, 背景和以前的工作.
  • With the support of designated senior 工作人员 consultants, units are working to tie in recommendations from the chancellor’s strategic priorities, Inclusion, Diversity 和 Excellence in Academics (IDEA) Plan, five DEI goals inspired by the IDEA PlanBuff Undergraduate Success initiative 和 other campus efforts.
  • Units should also involve students 和 employees while collecting information related to their priority goals 和 regularly solicit their ideas, 信息和见解.

  • Campus units will have opportunities to participate in community gatherings to share challenges 和 successes with students, 工作人员, 教师, 校园领袖, shared governance groups 和 other members of the CU Boulder community.
  • Starting in spring 2023, individuals, groups or units will be able to submit Impact Grant proposals that will be peer-reviewed 和 evaluated for the extent to which they support the campus's five DEI goals, demonstrate collaboration 和 reflect unit support. Proposals for summer 2023 initiatives will be accepted in January 和 proposals for academic 和 yearlong initiatives beginning in August 2023 will be accepted in February.
